The standard dimmer can be used for mains incandescent GLS lamps (standard mains light bulbs), maximum load as specified on dimmer. It can also dim GU10 or similar Hi Spot Mains Halogen lamps (only use quality UK supplied lamps) and low voltage transformers maximum load as specified on dimmer.Please note standard dimmers do not dim wire-wound transformers, energy saving bulbs , flourescent tubes, fans and inductive loads.
